You may notice a visual effect called the "infinity mirror" when using the screen sharing feature. This happens when you have opened the SpatialChat rooms in the area that you are sharing.

It looks like two mirrors reflecting each other, creating a repeating pattern of the shared image. It can be a visually interesting effect, like this.

To avoid the infinity mirror effect, you can try the following:

  • Open another tab in your browser or switch to a different app. This will allow all participants to see something other than the shared screen.
  • Instead of sharing your entire screen, try sharing a specific app window or browser tab.
  • If you have a second monitor, you can use it for screen sharing instead. This will prevent the shared screen from appearing within the SpatialChat rooms.

Overall, the infinity mirror effect is not a bug or a problem with the interface. It is simply a visual effect that occurs when the shared screen is displayed within the SpatialChat rooms. By using one of the methods above, you can avoid this effect if you prefer.
