SpatialChat recommended system settings
To ensure the best possible experience, we recommend the following system requirements:
- 5 GHz WiFi or LAN-connected internet,
- 30 MBit/s internet speed,
- Google Chrome or Firefox (latest version),
- A client device (computer or laptop) not older than 3 years.
The minimum required settings for using SpatialChat are:
- A computer not older than 5 years,
- 10 Mbit/s internet speed,
- Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
If you are using 2.4 GHz WiFi, you may experience video quality transfer issues when joining rooms with more than 20 participants. This is because 2.4 GHz WiFi technology cannot transfer 20+ simultaneous video streams from participants.
To improve your experience with SpatialChat, we recommend the following:
- Use a computer or laptop, not a mobile device,
- Be close to the router (or better yet, use a cable connection),
- Close unnecessary programs (including those that can use the camera and microphone),
- Close unnecessary browser tabs,
- Use the recommended resolution for backgrounds (3200x1800 px),
- Don't add many objects to the room (videos, screen shares, pictures),
- Use the latest version of Google Chrome or Firefox browser without VPN and other browser extensions that may affect the performance of SpatialChat (for example, Adblock).
Following our recommended system requirements and troubleshooting tips, you can ensure you get the most out of SpatialChat.
